Take a Look:
Great blogs, sites, and resources

I am interested in leadership and research in creativity and arts education. I have well-earned knowledge and devout enthusiasm for these topics and promote the great value of arts education in and of itself. I believe that the arts, from kindergarten to college, are central to teaching and learning. The arts fosters community development and programing and serve as the foundation of a well-rounded education--rich in connections and culture.

I’ve been involved in art and education since I was old enough to hold a pencil and open a book. As an artist, I am an active illustrator, photographer, and watercolorist. My other interests include long-distance (marathon) running, hiking, swimming, yoga, philosophy,  and traveling the world.

Welcome to the Westbrook School Department's Art Education Blog.

This blog is designed, managed, and maintained by Sarah Ritz Swain.

As the District's Director of Art K-12, I use this blog to communicate about art education in Westbrook and our extended community.
