Take a few minutes to compare and contrast these videos. View one from each side and think about their similarities and differences. What qualities do they have in common? How do they differ? More than a simple list of similarities or differences, comparing and contrasting is a way to discover the purposeful and effective qualities of video design.
How to compare and contrast?
When comparing and contrasting a video start with the way things look. Use one of the visual aid worksheets as a guide. After you’ve viewed each video, look at your notes and try to find a meaning (or something significant) that you would not have understood/noticed without comparing it another video.
The purpose of the comparison is to understand the qualities of video design more completely in order to define what is effective.
